Yesid Reyes Alvarado

Lawyer graduated from the Universidad Externado de Colombia (1980), where he majored in Criminal Law and specialized in Criminology.

Likewise, he has a Master’s Degree in Penal, Criminological and Criminologist Sciences from the Universidad Externado de Colombia.

Mr. Reyes has over 25 years’ experience on legal matters, particularly on criminal law, and has been a professor at the Universidad de Los Andes since 2006.

He has served as Associate Judge for the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice, guest professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1992-1994), fellow of the Alexander Humboldt Foundation (1990-1992) and op-ed columnist of El Espectador newspaper.

Author of La Prueba Indiciaria (Circumstantial Evidence) (1984), La Prueba Testimonial (1988) (Testimonial Evidence), El Concurso de Delitos (1990) (Criminal Concurrence), Imputación Objetiva (1994) (Objective Attribution), Bien Jurídico y Derecho Disciplinario (Legal Property and Disciplinary Law) (1998).

Mr. Reyes Alvarado is a partner of the Chemás Reyes Roldán & Asociados law firm and is proficient in German.
